After an impressive performance at the Husky Classic over the weekend, Lipscomb junior Madi Talbert and sophomore Christian Freeman have been named Atlantic Sun Indoor Track Athletes of the Week.

The Lipscomb track and field team started off their two-meet weekend with a successful day at the Husky Invite.

The Lipscomb track and field squad will be splitting up into two groups over the weekend, with one group heading to the Hoosier Hills Invite in Indiana and the other trekking all the way to Seattle for the Husky Classic.

Thanks to a season-best leap at the Southern Illinois Invite, senior Gemikal Prude has been named the Atlantic Sun Men s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

The Lipscomb track and field squad s trip up north to the Southern Illinois Invite was a successful one. The Bisons earned wins both on the track and in the field over the weekend.

After staying close to home for the first portion of the 2014 schedule, the Lipscomb track and field squad is ready to stretch their legs with a trip to Southern Illinois.
