Louisville, Ky. - Rhodes College men's cross country seniors Jared Briant and Ben Hazelwood ran the time of their lives at the 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

Briant and Hazelwood will each be making their first career NCAA cross country championship appearance.

Rhodes College senior Ben Hazelwood has garnered SAA men's Runner of the Week honors as announced by the Southern Athletic Association on October 19, 2021.

Freyaldenhoven is one of 46 male honorees and one out of six men to earn Academic All-America status for the third year.

It's the first career recognition for two individuals, junior Ben Hazelwood and sophomore Rachel Sullivan. The 2021 spring track season marks the third CoSIDA Academic All-District honor for recent graduate Toler Freyaldenhoven.

ATLANTA (June 18, 2021) - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced that recent Rhodes graduate, Toler Freyaldenhoven, has been named 2020-21 Jacaruso Enterprises SAA Man of the Year.

Thirty-five of those honors were from multi-sport athletes in track & field, cross country, football, men's lacrosse, volleyball and women's soccer. Over 500 Rhodes student-athletes contributed to a department spring grade-point average of 3.48.

The Southern Athletic Association has announced the 2021 All-Sportsmanship teams for each of the winter and spring sports. The following student-athletes were chosen by their peers and/or coaches as a best representation from their respective teams:

Both teams earned the Team Academic Award with the Lynx men tallying a 3.53 GPA and the women recording a team GPA of 3.80.
