[Men's Track] 2 National Qualifiers from first meetPublished by
Track opened up their indoor season this past weekend at the ETSU Niswonger Invitational. It was a great start to the season with TWC getting its first ever indoor nationals qualifiers. Roderick Bowman ran 15:11.34 in the 5k and hit the national mark. He finished 7th overall in the invitational section. Avery Hubbard ran a 6.94 in the finals to tie for second place and was only .01 of a second away from the winner. He also hit the national mark. On the men's side there were 7 school records broke and 3 on the women's side. "Overall the meet went very well, we had many improvements but its early and we still have some things to work on and by the end of the season, when it matters, we will be ready to roll" stated Coach Jakubowski.
