Beth Sexton of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while Roderick Bowman of Tennessee Wesleyan is the AAC Men's Field and Track Athletes of the Week, respectively, the league announced on Monday.

Beth ran a personal best and new school record in the 200m. She was also a member of the 4x100m team that also broke a school record.  She ran in the 200m race and finished in a time 26.66 and was part of the 4 x 100 relay team who finished in 49.92.

Roderick lead the race from the gun and won by 25 seconds. Not only did he break our school record but he also hit the NAIA B standard for the even and is ranked 2nd in the NAIA at this time.  He finished th 10k in a time of 31:10.06.

This is the first edition of the awards this spring. The next set of awards will be announced on March 31.
