[Men's Track] AAC Track and Field Athletes of the WeekPublished by
Alexandria Johnson of Tennessee Wesleyan and Rachel Lawhorn of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Coference Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. This is the fifth weekly edition of the awards for 2015-16. The next set of honors will be announced on April 19. AAC Track Athlete of the Week Alexandria Johnson - Tennessee Wesleyan - Fr. - Atlanta, Ga. Placed 5th in the 100-meter dash at the Berry Invitational. Her time of 12.38 seconds was a personal best and a new school record. AAC Field Athlete of the Week Rachel Lawhorn - Tennessee Wesleyan - Soph. - Cleveland, Tenn. Placed in the top 3 in three events at the Berry Invitational. Was 2nd in the shot put (12.04 meters) and discus (38.22 meters). Took 3rd in the javelin (31.94 meters). Second weekly honor in a row.
