Comments

The Lady Bulldogs finished 2nd in the AAC Championships on Saturday at Sevier County High School.

Tennessee Wesleyan's Rachel Lawhorn won the Women's Most Outstanding Field Athlete after winning the Shot put, Javelin, and Discus throw.

Union won it with 206 points, TWC had 197 points and Milligan had 136, however, it would not be decided until the very end.  After the TWC women cut into Union's lead with victories in the triple jump (Els Hooijdonk) and the javelin (Rachel Lawhorn), Union answered with a win in the 4x400 meter relay to stay on top heading into the final event.

The Lady Bulldogs then came up with a win in the women's 4x100 meter relay at 48.52 seconds, finishing only .01 seconds behind the AAC record, but 1.30 seconds in front of the leader in the women's standings, Union.

Leah Chance of Tennessee Wesleyan earned her second conference title of the meet as she won the women's 3k steeplechase with a time of 12:28.30 on Saturday to go along with her win in the women's 10k on Friday.  Robbiccaa Williams finished 2nd in the 10k and Sierra Knighten finished in 4th.

The Lady Bulldogs finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 100 meter dash, with Justina Jones, Alexandria Johnson, and Els Van Hooijdonk respectively.

Alexandria Johnson won the 200 meter dash with Justina Jones finishing 2nd and Els Van Hooijdonk finishing 4th.

Kyra McCray competed in the 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles and finished 3rd and 4th respectively.
