Ball nabs fifth career ASUN weekly awardPublished by
LakePoint, Ga. – For the third time in her career Lipscomb senior Barbara Lee Ball has been named the ASUN Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Wednesday. The award is her fifth ASUN weekly honor overall for her career as the Nashville native has twice been named the ASUN Track Athlete of the Week as well. Ball finished eighth out of 251 runners at the Crimson Classic on Friday with a time of 21:06.3 in the 6000m. It was the fastest 6K time for any Bison this season. Ball’s performance helped lead the Purple and Gold to a third-place finish, ahead of several USTFCCCA South Region ranked squads including: no. 1 Mississippi, No. 8 Auburn, No. 9 Memphis, No. 10 Georgia, No. 12 Georgia Tech, and No. 14 UT-Martin.
