[Women's Track] LADY BULLDOGS COMPETE AT UCS INVITATIONALPublished by
Winston-Salem, N.C. – The women's track and field team traveled to the JDL Fast Track the weekend of February 21st to compete at the UCS Invitational. The women's distance medley relay team broke their previous school record, running a time of 12:51.32 and finished in sixth place overall. The team was made up of Hannah Rhodes, Ceantra Mcbee, Karlie Yinger, and Robbiccaa Williams. Leah Chance also hit a huge personal best in the 3,000m race with a time of 10:43.13 and finished in sixteenth overall in the race. Justina Jones led the way for the sprinters. Jones set an indoor personal best with a time of 26.95 in the 200m dash and finished in sixteenth place overall in the race. Finally, Rachel Lawhorn broke her own previous school record in the shot put this weekend with a throw of 11.44m (37' 6.05") and placed in tenth place overall. The team will be traveling to Geneva, Ohio this weekend to compete at the NAIA Indoor Nationals. The meet starts March 5th. Read the full article at: www.twcbulldogs.com
