ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Jacob Simmons of Tennessee Wesleyan College is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

This is the sixth edition of the weekly honors for the 2015 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 20.

Placed 26th in a field of 201 runners at the NAIA Preview Queens of Charlotte event.

Completed 8K race in 26:00.

This is the fourth time he has won the weekly award this season.
