[Women's Cross Country] LADY BULLDOGS PLACE FIRST AT BEREA COLLEGE INVITATIONAL

Berea, Ky. – Tennessee Wesleyan senior Robbiccaa Williams led the charge for the Lady Bulldogs with a first place finish at the Berea College Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Berea College.

The Lady Bulldogs won the meet with a score of 23 points. Centre College finished second with 55 points followed by Berea College with 99 points.

Williams won the 5K race and finished with a time of 18:57. Following close behind Williams was freshman Hannah Rhodes. Rhodes finished second overall in the race with a time of 19:08.

Bulldog junior Leah Chance finished 5th overall with a time of 19:58, while sophomore Sierra Knighten finished 6th overall with a time of 20:24. Sophomore Karlie Yinger rounded out the top five for the Lady Bulldogs, finishing 9th overall with a time of 20:51.

"Not only am I very proud of how Robbiccaa and Hannah ran, but I am extremely proud of how many great performances we had from the team today," Tennessee Wesleyan head coach Justin Herbert. "I thought Sierra Knighten and sophomore Chloe Nance had incredible performances today as well, and some of our freshman, particularly Maria Moses and Alexis Reviere, ran personal bests for a 5k as well."

Tennessee Wesleyan returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, as they head to Louisville, Ky.  to participate in the Greater Louisville Classic.
