[Women's Track] LADY BULLDOGS SET FOUR SCHOOL RECORDS AT TERRIER RELAYSPublished by
Spartanburg, S.C. – The Lady Bulldogs competed last weekend at the fifth annual Terrier Relays hosted by Wofford College, where they set four new school records. For the second weekend in the row, freshman Hannah Rhodes finished first overall in the 3,000m steeplechase. Rhodes won the race with a time of 11:34.04. Rhodes missed hitting a national standard in the event by two seconds. Junior Robbiccaa Williams set a new school record in the 1,500m. Williams finished fourth overall in the race with a time of 4:52.06. Freshman Rachel Lawhorn set another school record in the javelin. Lawhorn threw a mark of 26.22 meters. This is the third weekend in a row Lawhorn has set a new school record. The fourth school record was set by freshman Alexandria Collins. Collins set a new school record in the high jump. This was her first time competing in the event. The distance medley relay team also earned a victory this past weekend. The relay team consisted of sophomore Leah Chance, sophomore Ceantra Mcbee, sophomore Kelsey Marshall, and freshman Chloe Nance. Finally, the women's 4x100m relay team ran a season's best, finishing fourth overall with a time of 48.62. The relay team consisted of junior Justina Jones, sophomore Alexus Lyons, junior Kiana Froedden, and junior Beth Sexton.
