[Women's Track] LADY BULLDOGS SET THREE SCHOOL RECORDS AT TENNESSEE RELAYSPublished by
Knoxville, TN. – The Lady Bulldogs competed last weekend at the Tennessee Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee where three school records and several season bests were set over the three-day meet. Freshman Hannah Rhodes set a new school record along with a NAIA B Standard in the 3,000m steeplechase. Rhodes finished 15th overall in the race with a time of 11:27.49. Her time currently ranks her 20th in nation for NAIA. Additionally, junior Kiana Froedden finished with a personal best and a new school record in the 100m dash this weekend. Froedden crossed the line with a time of 12.54 to finish second her in section. The last school record was set by sophomore Leah Chance in the 5,000m race. Chance won her section with a winning time of 18:10.19. The women's 4x100m relay team also turned in a season's best time last weekend. The relay team of junior Justina Jones, sophomore Alexus Lyons, junior Kiana Froedden, and junior Beth Sexton finished with a time of 48.48. In addition to helping the relay team turn in a season's best performance, Lyons also ran that second fastest time in the program's history in the 200m dash. Lyons finished third in her section with a time of 25.93. Finally, freshman Sierra Knighten ran the second fastest time in the program's history in the 800m run with a time of 2:26.79. The Lady Bulldogs will be competing at the AAC Outdoor Conference Meet this Wednesday and Thursday at Johnson City, Tennessee hosted by Milligan College. Read the full article at: www.twbulldogs.com
